Biography

     Dawn Lang is President of Perception Access Inc, a business development consulting firm that connects business and organization leaders to strategic channel partners for actionable growth. She focuses on growth-solutions that are mission focused and have regional impact involving economic development organizations, educators, employers, and funding stakeholders to uplift individuals and their communities. For over 20 years, Dawn has worked with Fortune 500s to startups in various sectors including education, workforce development, government, life science, healthcare, and IT/technology. 


     Dawn most recently served as Senior Vice President of Partnerships with the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL); a Strada Education affiliate and national nonprofit focused on economic advancement through education-career pathways. In this role Dawn worked with national industry associations, post-secondary education institutions, workforce development boards, foundations, and government for working adults to solidify pathways for sustainable employment and regional economic growth. Prior to CAEL, Dawn was Vice President of Sales at Student Connections, a student loan default prevention company that provides services to colleges, universities, and member associations. In this role she helped institutions improve student loan repayment performance, lower cohort default rates, and increase borrowers’ financial literacy. Prior to Student Connections Dawn spent over 15 years working in the healthcare and life sciences industry in marketing and business development capacities.


      As a public servant and community leader, Dawn is actively involved with mission-forward organizations including Rotary International (member of Fishers Chapter); serves as a Commissioner with the City of Fishers Advisory Plan Commission; Fishers Housing Task Force; Precinct Vice Committeeman; elected as a State Convention Delegate (2022); Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap Program with The Policy Circle; current Board Member, Richard Lugar Excellence in Public Service Leadership Series (2021-2022 class); Member, Hamilton County Federation of Republican Women and Indiana Federation of Republican Women; Member of Women & Hi Tech; and Executive Advisory Board member for the Indiana Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.


     Dawn obtained her master’s degree at Ball State University in Health and Wellness Management in 1997, and bachelor’s degree in Communications at Hanover College 1991. She has been a resident of Fishers, Indiana for over 28 years with her husband Jeff and three children Jack (23), Nicole (21), and Christian (11).
 

Hobbies and Interests:  Dawn loves watching her three kids participate in recreational and collegiate sports, and follows them to ball diamonds and athletic facilities all over. Dawn has been a registered yoga teacher and certified group fitness instructor for over 30 years teaching at fitness facilities, clubs, and corporate clients around central Indiana, as well as online.
